The NBMMF awards two scholarships at Bessemer City High School

During their 2011 Honors and Awards Day Porgram, Shun’Trell Rudolph & Anthony Blocker were chosen as recipients of the NickBell Mentoring Memorial Foundation Scholarship. The Bessemer High School Scholarship Committee identified these students asexemplifying positive, confident, caring, and determination. These recipients also recognized for their work ethic and commitmenttowards “Living Their Dream”. Both students will be attending Alabama A & M University in the fall.

The Nick Bell Mentoring Memorial Foundation Scholarship (NBMMF) offers students the opportunity to receive a scholarship inNick’s honor. Nick Bell was a 2008 graduate of Jess Lanier High School (now known as Bessemer City High School) and astudent-athlete at Mississippi State University when he passed on November 2, 2010. The NBMMF provides children, teens andyoung adults support via mentoring, scholarship and other programs to help foster success in every area of life.
