Scholarship Requirements

The NBMMF and the Mississippi State University Foundation agree to give two Scholarships.











John P. Rush, Vice President for Development and Alumni , and Chief Executive Officer of MSU Foundation, Inc.


I. NICK BELL MENTORING MEMORIAL FOUNDATION ANNUAL SCHOLARSHIP
In April 2011, the Nick Bell Mentoring Memorial Foundation established the NICK BELL MENTORING MEMORIAL FOUNDATION
ANNUAL SCHOLARSHIP fund. The Mississippi State University Foundation agreed to use this gift to establish an annual scholarship
for deserving students enrolled at Mississippi State University.

Candidates for the NICK BELL MENTORING MEMORIAL FOUNDATION ANNUAL SCHOLARSHIP must:
1. Be full-time students at Mississippi State University.
2. Be sophomores, juniors or seniors.
3. Have demonstrated academic achievement, a minimum 2.5 GPA based on a 4.0 system.
4. Have demonstrated leadership skills.

The University Scholarship Committee administers the scholarship program at Mississippi State University. The scholarship will be awarded on a year-to-year basis. A student who is the recipient one year is eligible for consideration in any other year; however, they must again comply with the selection criteria.

II. NICK BELL MENTORING MEMORIAL FOUNDATION LOYALTY SCHOLARSHIP
This scholarship is being established in support of the StatePride: Initiative for Student and Faculty Support. This gift is eligible for a $500 matching gift provided by the MSU Bulldog Club, as long as funds are available.

Candidates for the NICK BELL MENTORING MEMORIAL FOUNDATION LOYALTY SCHOLARSHIP must meet the following criteria:
1. Entering freshmen enrolled at Mississippi State University as a full-time student with minimum 3.0 high school grade point average.
2. Entering community college transfer students with a minimum 3.0 community college grade point average.
3. Community college transfer students must have a minimum 48 transferable community college credit hours.
4. These candidates must have demonstrated leadership ability/potential.
5. Scholarship recipients may be considered to receive the award for up to 4 years provided they maintain a 3.0 grade point average.
